The Main Sonata Event

Friday 16th 3:30-5:00pm
Saturday 17th 8:30am-4pm

The Festival Adjudications are the main event for all students, K-12, and all ability levels to participate. Soloists and Ensembles are included in all categories. This event is held in both Seeger chapel and the Gregory center on the Milligan College Campus. The festival begins Friday, November 16th, in the afternoon and continues through Saturday, November 17th.

The adjudications are in a non-competitive style with two clinicians giving comments and scores. Scores are given for the individual’s performance of a prepared piece. Only the prepared piece will be played. Adjudications are not open for the public, parents or teachers to observe.

Students can participate in more than one category individually and ensembles. Please feel free to write on the registration form any additional information to clarify the students’ needs. If a student is performing in more than one event please fill out one form per event they are participating, feel free to staple these together and only fill in the price on the top form reflecting all the events together.

Outstanding Festival students may be asked to perform at a special concert hosted by the Paramount Center in Bristol, Sunday, April 29, 2012.
