Fill out the form and send it in. Remember you can add any additional information anywhere on the form, this is especially important for those seniors in the senior performance competition. Please list the second piece anywhere on the form. Next year we will rewrite the forms to represent the auditions better.

The historic Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol, TN/VA will be hosting a concert featuring Sonata Festival Winners of the Senior Competition and the Young Artists event plus chosen Outstanding Festival students.

The Concerto Competition is not gone. We’ve made a few changes!

The new Young Artists Masters Event is to expand on the original Concerto Competition. This is for advanced students only, just as the Concerto Competition.

Any music student studying any advanced classical literature may compete in this event including Concerto literature.

This will be held Saturday morning in the Seeger Chapel. Any piece over 12 minutes must be approved by ACMA concerning double or single entries for time’s sake.

Dance

We’re very excited to include dance in the 2011 festival. Classical variations, pas de duex, and original choreography for ballet and modern are encouraged and should not exceed 4 minutes. Dance will be at a different location than the rest of the Festival. It will be held at the East Tennessee Ballet Academy studios located downtown Elizabethton, TN. For more details, contact us. No ensemble pieces this year

Drama

This year we’ll be accepting dramatic presentations from either groups or single actors. These dramatizations can be either plays, prose, or poetry readings. They can be presented as monologues or scenes with several actors.

For more information, contact us.
