Emily Lamb Sonata Festival

Emily Lamb is the 2011 second place winner in the Senior Competition Category

Emily Lamb is a home-schooled senior from Elizabethton, TN. She began violin lessons at age 5 and has been studying viola with Dr. Kellie Brown of Milligan College for two years.

Currently, Emily is a member of the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra, the Milligan College Orchestra, the Symphony of the Mountains Youth Orchestra, and the Milligan String Quartet. She has been both principal and 2nd chair in the Tennessee All-State Orchestra and spent last summer at Tennessee’s Governor’s School for the Arts studying under Dr. Daphne Gerling. Emily likes to participate in many different ensembles, playing the French Horn in Tri-cities Homeschool Band and the cello in her church’s praise team. She also has her own violin and viola studio and enjoys playing for weddings and community events.
