Guest artists for the 2009 Festival were J4. J4 exploded into the national music spotlight this year as the winners of the CBS Singing Family Face Off. They reach out to the youth of today with a positive message, and yet they bridge the generational gap with their musical versatility and classical influence. Their musical style, performance, and personality work together to produce more than just a concert--they produce an experience. |

With this sibling group from East Tennessee, music runs deep in their roots. Although young, these experienced brothers and sisters all sing, play multiple instruments, and please their audiences with a musical style and stage presence in a way only siblings can. “Their family harmonies blow me away”, says Kathy Sledge. "The first thing that jumps out at you as extreme talent". With CBS Records, J4 has recorded their first two singles, I Think I Love You and Don’t Stop, due to release in Fall 2009. Since winning the competition, the band has played various venues, including schools, festivals, and private events. “It is great to see kids bringing talent back into the music business”, says Jermaine Dupree. |
