The String Camp will take place for the 2nd year at ETSU – the campus of the East Tennessee State University located in Johnson City, Tennessee. (Some of the classrooms at ETSU on the 3rd floor and are not handicap accessible)

2011 TEACHER’S TRAINING COURSE – ($700)
(includes room and board)
Pam Wiley – O’Connor Violin Method
This course in an alternative to the regular camp tuition of $900. (the $700 price includes dorms and cafeteria meals in price) This course is for those who are interested in teaching beginning students, participants will receive a certificate of completion. The materials covered will be based on Mark O’Connor’s new Method Book I and II released November 2009. The O’Connor Violin Method is a comprehensive manual that takes the student from the very beginning, featuring tunes from the Americas. The two sessions per day course will allow one class per day with one of the other Camp instructors being featured for the 3rd period. Mark O’Connor will sit in on some of the classes.
Fees
Below fees includes dorm room bed-space and cafeteria meals Sunday night through Saturday morning.
Violin/Fiddle student $900, Teacher training student $700. Guardian $400 (These fees include room and board)
Day campers starting at age 14 who don’t need overnight lodging can register for $650. Day camper (below age 14) guardian is $200
